The base was built using A142 6mm steel reinforcing mesh layed in the concrete, and a layer of fibreglass insulation was layed between the top of the pier foundation and the concrete slab. This was to create a separation between the two, to prevent any vibrations being transfered from the base to the pier. The walls were constructed with 3x2 treated timber with base plates bolted to the concrete base, then the exterior was boarded with 11mm OSB boards then wrapped in breather paper and battoned with 2x1 treated timber battons. Finallay the exterior was clad in cement boards called Hardie Planks. The top of wall had a doubled up timber wall plate for which the roof track was fixed. The roof was also constucted with 3x2 and clad internally with 11mm OSB and externally with 18mm OSB. This helped as a diagonal brace and gave a solid base for the heat applied roofing felt to be added. 50mm Celotex rigid board insulation was fitted between roof rafters. The walls also had 50mm insulation added and was clad internally with 11mm OSB and the floor had 40mm insulation added.
